COVID- 19 Transition Tools

During the first 2 weeks of COVID-19 isolation, we found ourselves scrambling to understand a bazillion changes around us. NOW – we feel like we are working hard to keep all the balls in the air – tracking and managing all the things now on our plate that weren’t there before. With the new roles and responsibilities, we have found that good tools have become even more important. Here are a few that we find helpful – maybe you will too:
Zoom
Zoom offers free accounts for video conferencing and connection – and is easy to use! It is a great way to connect with co-workers, family, and friends. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop with a webcam. Download the Zoom software from zoom.us or the app from your device’s app store. Or, you can join a Zoom meeting from a Zoom invite sent to you by someone else. Free Zoom accounts allow for 40 minute sessions. If the free option does not meet your needs – there are additional plans available to increase your services.
Google Hangouts Meet
Google Hangouts is another way to connect over video. Hangouts has a free version available, but the tool has not typically been as robust as Zoom. Due to COVID-19, Google has rolled out additional advanced features through Hangouts to provide additional opportunities to connect.
Slack
Slack is a chat tool that gives you the ability to create a variety of different channels, so your conversations can be organized by topics and/or teams. The goal of Slack is to increase productivity by simplifying communication, helping teams to collaborate across remote distances. Slack integrates with Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox.
Monday.com
Monday.com allows you to work remotely and effectively. With this tool you can organize and track team projects, manage workload, track time, and more. Utilize Monday.com to build workflows and run your projects and processes with confidence from home.
Asana
Asana is a tool designed to organize, track and manage the work and projects of teams (work and home). This tool allows teams to manage work anytime, and anywhere, while keeping everyone focused on goals, projects and tasks. This tool is very easy to use and implement.
Hubspot
Hubspot is an all-in-one software platform built to help you drive marketing, sales and customer service. It’s products and services provide tools for customer relationship management, social media marketing, content management, lead generation, website analytics, and SEO.
